The travel industry offers great opportunity for those who are passionate about travel and entrepreneurship. It is my privilege to lead Nexion Travel Group and help provide the best education and opportunities for our independent travel advisor members.

Jackie Friedman, CTC, CTIE is the president of Nexion Travel Group. As part of Travel Leaders Group, Nexion Travel Group provides ticketing, operations and fulfillment support to independent travel professionals coupled with best-in-class tools, technology, marketing, education and support. Nexion Travel Group is the complete host agency for multi-agent agencies, corporate agencies, experienced agents and those new to the industry. The Travel Leaders of Tomorrow travel advisor training program falls under Ms. Friedman’s purview, and she serves as dean, advising and counseling hundreds of new travel advisors.

Ms. Friedman joined the Nexion Travel Group leadership team in 2004 as Vice President of Operations. She has served as President since 2007. Prior to joining the Nexion Travel Group team, Ms. Friedman enjoyed a 15-year career with Sabre Travel Network, serving in a variety of account management, sales, business development and leadership positions in both Canada and the United States. She got her start in the travel industry working as a front-line agent and eventually a travel agency manager in her home town of Toronto, Canada.

 

Ms. Friedman serves on several travel industry advisory boards, including the Professional Association of Travel Hosts (PATH), as a trustee for The Travel Institute, and as a past member of American Society of Travel Advisors’ (ASTA board of directors), along with advisory boards for the Cruise Lines International Association and numerous travel partners.

 

She holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Western Ontario and her travel industry accreditations include Certified Travel Counselor (CTC) and Certified Travel Industry Executive (CTIE) from the Travel Institute.
